What is hentai?

The word Hentai is Japanese and it is used to describe pornographic or explicit animation or comics. These drawings are of Japanese origin and include anime, eroge and manga. The characters have a very distinctive look about them, the girls are drawn with very large breasts, huge eyes, large bottoms, and usually looks young.

The different kinds of hentai

Just like other material that is a target or end goal for specific group’s manga is divided into: ero manga which is aimed at men who they presume or believe to be heterosexual. There is also ladies comics (redicomi or redisu komikku) originally this meant manga for any adult woman. But now they have (josei) which is specifically manga for women which is pornographic. There are other groups of people that they target or aim manga at but may not contain or incorporate pornographic content: gei comi which is menslove and is for gay men. Boy’s love which they aim or set one’s sights on the shojo and josei groups. Teen’s love which is more explicit or categorical of the romances of shojo and again very predominant or controlling for the josei and shojo groups. Yuri or also known as girl’s love which is for men and explores the gender of shojo and ero manga, this has now become a genre all of its very own.
